Remembering Yuko Sueta

Dear All,

As many of you know, our dear friend, Yuko Sueta, passed away on October 31, 2009 after a long battle with breast cancer. 

In her last week, Yuko left the following note for all of us:

after all things are over,
i would love to have the biggest happiest party with you all.
musicians would play music,
dancers would dance,
drinkers would drink all day.
please all the people who helped me once join the party!!

The time has now come for us to honor her final wishes by holding a Memorial Party in her remembrance!
The event, entitled "Galaxy," will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at a place that was close to Yuko's heart and community -  

Studio B.P.M., 237 Kent Ave. (between Grand St. and N. 1st St.), Brooklyn NY, from 4:00 PM to midnight. 

Music and dance performances will be given by many of Yuko's friends (see the list of presenters below). Some of her film and video work will be projected on the walls, and her photographs will be on display. We will also be offering some of Yuko's unique artwork, jewelry, and clothing for sale to raise funds to help cover the expenses of this event, giving any extra money to her family in Japan. Yuko's mother will also be attending this event - her first time back to the U.S. since Yuko's passing. 

Please join us for this final, happy event remembering the beautiful life of Yuko Sueta!

For anyone who wishes to speak - you are more than welcome! You can let us know in advance, or just at the event, if the moment takes you.
Feel free to bring any food or snacks to share. Drinks will be provided by B.P.M. via their bar.
