Yoga literally means "union" or "joining together." Yoga's tradition is in the harmonious unification of all different aspects of Being: the mind, body, heart and soul. The purpose of the asanas (physical practice of poses) in Hatha Yoga is to balance the energies—hot and cold, breathing and digestion— in order to calm the mind and achieve unification through meditation.

In the preface of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) it says , "...the Course deals with universal themes. It emphasizes that it is but one version of the universal curriculum. There are many others, this one differing from them only in form. They all lead to God in the end." As an ACIM and yoga student, I have nothing to do but share what I’ve received and am still receiving through those teachers and brothers.

Everything is already given! The only thing I could do is remember the words of Dharmaji. He says, "be an empty vessel for the divine will to flow through."

I have been studying ACIM for the past five years, with Yasuko Kasaki at CRS for almost 4 years, inspired by Holy Spirit. I started to practice yoga in the beginning of April 2007 with Sri Dharma Mittra, known as “teacher of teachers,” ”rock of yoga,” creator of that 908 yoga postures poster that we see in yoga studios and ashrams all over the world, disciple of Sri Swami Kailashananda (known as the first Guru to bring the practice of “hatha yoga” to the west in the early 50’s). Learning the ancient science of self realization from a master who has studied his passion and offered himself to humanity for the 50 years of his life is a blessing from God.

See you at the CRS on Thursdays…. Let’s share and practice this knowledge of thousands of years “now.”

Love, Peace & Joy Forever,

Ali
