SUMMARY:Exhibition:  Imaginary Mindscapes by Philippe Halaburda
DESCRIPTION:CRS presents an exhibition of paintings by French artist Philippe Halaburda. Philippe is a multidisciplinary artist who engages with the urban surroundings environment and emotions\, feelings or memories from his direct experiences\, mainly though colors. The exhibition will be on view from July 13 – September 13\, 2017. \nPhilippe’s work explores into his own unlimited and unconscious psychological territories and delves into the complex undercurrents of intimate and collective relationships.Through paintings\, abstracted photos and digital artworks\, he tries to address more broadly the emotional structures within ourselves in the attempt to examine our world. He is interested in developing a new visual language with which to describe the randomness of cities and their relationship to human experience. \nPhilippe Halaburda’s Bio \nPhilippe Halaburda was born in France in 1972. He received his Diploma in 1995\, Superior Degree Graphic Art School from the EDTA Sornas School\, Paris. He has lived in and exhibited from Paris (France) to Zurich and Berne (Switzerland). He spent 15 years in Aix-en-Provence working  as a graphic arts director. Halaburda’s paintings and drawings have been exhibited throughout the US\, in Canada\, Europe (France\, Italy\, Spain\, Ger- many\, Austria\, Belgium) and Australia. \nHe was a guest resident of the Villa Baulieu Workshop in Aix-en-Provence between 2008. His work is in the collection of many corporate and non-profit institutions including the Radar (Bayeux\, France)\, Draguignan permanent Art Collection (Draguignan\, France) and the Villa Baulieu Art Collection (Aix-en-Provence\, France). His work is in private collections in the United States\, France\, Belgium\, Spain\, Italy\, Switzerland\, Canada\, The Netherlands and China. He’s now represented by several galleries in the USA and France. \nHe lives in Williamsburg\, Brooklyn and works in the Brooklyn artist community of Bushwick at 56 Bogart Street. www.halaburda.com

DESCRIPTION:THIS EVETN HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO SOMETIME IN THE FALL. \nThis Tarot Master Class is geared for all levels of Tarot experience.  The panel and class will dispense knowledge that will be helpful to advanced and intermediate Tarot practitioners\, as well as for beginning level Tarot practitioners\, and those interested in expanding their knowledge of Tarot in a generalized way. \nRachel Grace Pollack was born in Brooklyn\, New York\, in 1945. She holds an honors degree in English from New York University\, a Masters in English from Claremont Graduate School and has taught English at New York State University. Rachel is considered one of the World’s foremost authorities on the modern interpretation of the Tarot. She is also a poet\, an award-winning novelist\, and a Tarot card and comic book artist. She has published 12 books on the Tarot\, including 78 Degrees of Wisdom (Thorsons\, 1998)\, considered a modern classic and the Bible of Tarot reading. Its marriage of common sense\, wide-ranging knowledge\, and esoteric awareness have inspired tens of thousands of readers worldwide to a deeper knowledge of the Tarot \nRobert M Place is designer of The Alchemical Tarot\,  The Alchemical Tarot Renewed\, The Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery\, The Facsimile Italian Renaissance Woodcut Tarocchi\, The Tarot of the Saints\, The Buddha Tarot\, The Vampire Tarot\, The Angels Tarot\, and the Marziano Tarot. He is the author of the books that accompany most of these decks.  He has also authored The Tarot: History\, Symbolism\, and Divination\, which Booklist has said\, “may be the best book ever written on that deck of cards decorated with mysterious images called the tarot.” He is the author of Astrology and Divination\, Magic and Alchemy\, and Shamanism\, written for the Mysteries\, Legends\, and Unexplained Phenomena series\, and the author of Alchemy and the Tarot \nSasha Graham and her work have been featured in documentaries and media outlets such as Sirius XM Radio\, The Wall Street Journal and The Daily News.  Sasha  was the first tarot reader to  be featured in the cover of Crain’s New York Business. Sasha is a She Knows expert and contributor. Sasha appeared as a regular guest on the WPIX Channel 11 Morning News\, reading tarot on pop culture topics and celebrities and wrote a weekly Tarot column for Marie Claire. Sasha is the author of Llewellyn’s “Tarot Diva\, 365 Tarot Spreads\, 365 Tarot Spells and served as editor and contributing writer of Lo Scarabeo’s Tarot Fundamentals\, Tarot Experience and Tarot Compendium. She is currently working on Llewellyn’s Complete Guide to the Rider Waite Smith Tarot\, available  in 2018. She is creating her first tarot deck with Marvel and Disney artist Mirco Pierfederici\, The Haunted House Tarot.
