DESCRIPTION:This summer\, give your child the gift of dance. Peridance Capzio Center is one of the premiere dance schools in NYC\, and CRS is proud to be one of the venues for their children’s summer camps and school year classes. This summer\, between June 20 and August 19\, there are a variety of programs designed for specific age groups and offered with a choice of schedules: \n9 Week Session\nages 18 mos – 12+ years – Register Here\nOver a 9-Week period we are offering weekly drop in classes for your dancer. Morning and afternoon sessions available! This special program allows your child to take a variety of classes during and around your various summer activities. \nMorning Movers Camp\nages 3.5 years – 6 years – Register Here\nThe School at Peridance’s brand new Morning Movers half-day camp is a wonderful way for your young dancer to come play and create! Students will also work to create their own dances using stories\, artwork\, and fairy tales for inspiration. A great program for your future star dancer! \nDance Camp\nages 6.5 years – 10 years – Register Here\nThe School at Peridance Dance Camp is an exciting and action packed way for your dancer to keep moving this summer. The Camp will include daily technique classes and in addition campers will learn choreography and composition during Elements of Dance and dive in hands on to explore dance history\, world dance and music. \nChoreography Camp\nages 8 years – 12 years – Register Here\nThe School at Peridance’s Choreography Camp is a NEW Camp for the dancer who wants to explore their own creative outlet\, creative voice and to learn about composition building within dance. Daily technique classes in Ballet\, Modern and Jazz will better help the dancers build diverse choreography. A great camp experience for those dancers who like creating and exploring movement on their own. \nCore Intensive\nages 10 years-13 years – Register Here\nThe School at Peridance Summer Core Intensive is designed for the dedicated dancer who is ready to step up their technique this summer! The Intensive will include daily level placed technique classes in Ballet\, Modern\, and Composition. Students then can select their Ballet based or Multi Technique electives to personalize their own summer training! Audition for placement and acceptance required.

SUMMARY:Peridance Pre-Professional Ballet for Boys 8 – 12
DESCRIPTION:CRS is delighted to welcome back our neighbor Peridance this fall\, as we will host their Pre-Professional Ballet for Boys 8 – 12 program and several other children classes this year. The School at Peridance with its renowned PeriChild Program was established in 1983 and has been recognized as a pioneer in dance eucation within the New York Dance Community. Offering classes and training for students ranging from 18 months to 18 years\, The School at Peridance features a progressive interdisciplinary approach to dance training\, emphasizing a thorough understanding of various dance techniques\, while promoting self-expression and creativity. \nClasses begin this week and next and through the end of May/early June. For more information\, visit The School at Peridance web site or contact Colleen Megley\, Assistant School Coordinator at\ncolleen@peridance.com\n212-505-0886 \n\n\n\nOther children’s programs at The School at Peridance include: \nYoung Movers Program\nOffering dance classes for children ages 18 months to 5 years old. These young students are carefully guided through basic exploration of motor skills\, musicality and rhythms in a fun and creative environment. \nPeriChild Program\nOffering dance classes for children ages 6 to 12 years old. As students grow and mature\, discipline and basic vocabulary of various techniques are introduced through positive and nurturing teaching methods. The program’s structure allows students\, according to their age and level\, to choose their favorite style of dance. \nPeriTeen Program \nOffering extensive dance classes for students ages 13 to 17 years old\, in an array of disciplines including Ballet\, Modern\, Jazz\, Musical Theater\, Hip-Hop\, Tap\, African and Salsa. The program’s structure allows students\, according to their age and level\, to determine the frequency and diversity of their after-school training. Classes are offered in various levels\, from beginner to advance. \nPre-Professional Training Program\nFor students ages 7.5 to 16 years old who have a desire to train at an accelerated pace and focus on proper Ballet technique\, strength\, flexibility and body alignment. Additional attention is given to musicality\, movement quality and anatomically correct work. Core students are also encouraged to take additional technique classes in Modern and Jazz\, preparing them to join the Peridance Youth Ensemble\, a pre-professional dance company. \nAcceptance into the Pre-Professional Training Program is by audition only. \nPeridance Youth Ensemble\nA pre-professional training program for dancers ages 15 to 17 years old and a not-for-profit outreach youth dance company. In addition to the extensive\, well-rounded curriculum of classes\, Ensemble dancers have the opportunity to work closely with renowned choreographers and to participate in performances in New York City! Peridance Youth Ensemble has positively influenced hundreds of children from various organizations by extending their knowledge and love for dance through performances and interactive workshops\, inspiring participants and enhancing their sense of community. The ensemble has worked with organizations include the University Settlement\, Services at the Beacon and Turn 2 Foundation.
