SUMMARY:Spiritual Healing Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Mondays from 6:30 – 7:20 pm (please arrive by 7 pm)\nTuesdays from 7 – 7:30 pm (please arrive by 7:20 pm)\nSuggested Donation $20. No one turned away due to lack of funds.\nhttp://www.meetup.com/ACIM-healing \nBring any issue you are facing right now — physically\, emotionally\, mentally\, and/or spiritually. With eyes closed (you will be seated and a healer will stand nearby; no touching is involved)\, a CRS healer\, trained in A Course in Miracles and spiritual reading/healing\, will observe you with his inner sight\, free of any judgments\, as your truly are\, a perfect shining spirit. Together\, will ask the Holy Spirit (or Inner Guide if you prefer) to bring us directly to whatever seed thought is causing your current issues and ask for guidance about how your spirit really wants to make use of your present situation for its growth and sharing of love. After about 10 minutes of meditation\, we will share the inspirational guidance that we receive. \nAside from sharing the message that we receive from the Holy Spirit\, we don’t talk during this meetup event. We share healing quietly and provide you with an opportunity to come to rest\, reflect\, and remember who you truly are\, in a supportive\, non-judgmental\, meditative environment. \nWe’d like to offer you an opportunity to experience stillness of mind and peace so that you can return to harmony with your true nature and purpose. Then you will find that rather than needing “solutions” to “problems” you will realize that you have no problems except those that you project. \nWe call this spiritual healing but it is not religious nor connected with any church or group. It is simply a practice of meditating together on our true nature and connecting with universal spirit/energy or what you will. \nA Note About the Role of Words in Healing: “Strictly speaking\, words play no part at all in healing. The motivating factor is prayer\, or asking. What you ask for you receive. But this refers to the prayer of the heart\, not to the words you use in praying. Sometimes the words and the prayer are contradictory; sometimes they agree. It does not matter. God does not understand words\, for they were made by separated minds to keep them in the illusion of separation. Words can be helpful\, particularly for the beginner\, in helping concentration and facilitating the exclusion\, or at least the control\, of extraneous thoughts. Let us not forget\, however\, that words are but symbols of symbols. They are thus twice removed from reality….” — A Course in Miracles Manual for Teachers\, Section 21 \n“Since only the mind can be sick\, only the mind can be healed. Only the mind is in need of healing.” —”PSYCHOTHERAPY: Purpose\, Process and Practice\,”Supplements to A Course in Miracles [/expand]

SUMMARY:The Dance of the Soul: A Sufi Workshop
DESCRIPTION:OPEN TO ALL. \n“Come\, come\, whoever you are. Wanderer\, worshipper\, lover of leaving. It doesn’t matter…come\, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Come yet again\, come\, come.” \nSufi whirling is called the dance of the soul because of its ability to liberate the dancer’s soul from the prison of the body. A background in dance is not necessary to benefit from the alchemy and spiritual richness of this practice\, derived from Islamic mysticism. This workshop will focus\, in practice and theory\, on the four qualities required of a Sufi Dancer. These are essential character traits to be cultivated by any being who seeks to live a life of meaning and depth\, emphasizing the importance of a rich inner life interwoven with\, and manifesting in\, our external realities and experiences. Cathartic and powerful\, this practice is life-altering\, exerting an irresistible pull on those who are called to it\, and therefore meant to remove their veils and witness the intoxicating light of the divinity that lies at the core of our human essence. \nIn this workshop\, the student will learn whirling technique and experience several meditation in motion exercises meant to facilitate connection with the deepest part of our selves. Students will also learn essential facts and some history about Sufism. This will facilitate an understanding of how we can benefit from the wisdom of this ancient tradition in a way that is deeply relevant and applicable to our experience as modern beings. Poetry and sacred music will be important components of this workshop. \nSufi Dance is the dance of unity: unity within our own selves first\, and with the outer world and “others” second. \nPaola Garcia is a Sufi dance artist certified by Persian master Rana Gorgani as a UNESCO international dance teacher. She holds a Master’s Degree in Islamic Studies from Columbia University. She is a writer\, Middle Eastern Studies researcher\, and translator. \n“Dancing is not just getting up painlessly\, like a leaf blown on the wind; dancing is when you tear your heart out and rise out of your body to hang suspended between the worlds.” –Jalal ad-Din Rumi. \nThe workshop fee is $50 until 1/11 and $60 at the door. Registration is available online\, by phone (212-677-8621)\, and at CRS. \nPlease wear solid colors only and bring bring socks or flat dance slippers to wear. If you have a whirling skirt\, you may bring it. \nDo not eat for at least a couple of hours before the workshop.

SUMMARY:CRS Healing Circle: Meditation + Whirling Prayer
DESCRIPTION:Join us Thursday\, Jan 17\, 2019 at 7:30 pm for our monthly Healing Circle + Whirling (Sufi Dance) + Prayer led by CRS co-founders Yasuko Kasaki and Christopher Pelham and Sufi Dance Artist Lale Sayoko. We gather to let go of our small selves and remember our divinity within. This month we’ll take the first steps toward channeling poetry while whirling! The Sufis say that God speaks to us through music. We’ll ask Holy Spirit to translate that music into words\, a divine incantation. \nThe participation fee is $20 with advanced registration and $25 on the day of the class. \nThrough whirling\, we learn to trust ourselves to go off balance\, to be dizzy\, to surrender control as we give ourselves over to prayer and connect with a greater power\, the still center within\, around which we turn\, that we may share our divine strength and bear witness to the divinity in others. \nIf you are quiet and in a state of prayer when you Turn\, offering everything of yourself to God\, then when your body is spinning\, there is a completely still point in the center… The heavens respond; and all the invisible kingdoms join in the dance. But the world does not understand. They think we Turn in order to go into some sort of trance. It is true that sometimes we do go into that state you call ecstasy\, but that is only when we know and experience at the same time. We do not Turn for ourselves. We turn around in the way we do so that the Light of God may descend upon the earth. As you act as a conduit in the Turn\, the light comes through the right hand\, and the left hand brings it into this world… We turn for God and for the world\, and it is the most beautiful thing you can imagine. — Mevlevi Shaikh Suleyman Hyatt Dede \nSufi Dance Instructor Lále Sayoko was one of the founding members of Japan’s famous Samanyolu professional bellydance group\, and has since developed her own solo career touring with UK’s Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers on a 44 city tour of the UK\, to Turkey’s Baba Zula\, to New York’s Bella Gaia multimedia Earth from Space journey show. Appearing in Japanese and American magazines and newspapers\, Lale aspires for dance to be a powerful communicator though traditional technique and spiritual embodiment. She has lately been studying Sufi dance with Rana Gorgani and in April 2018 Gorgani awarded her the International Sufi Dance Certification Of Cid UNESCO\, granting her authority to teach Gorgani’s method of Sufi dance training.\nhttp://www.lalesayoko.com \nYasuko Kasaki (meditation/prayer) is an internationally beloved spiritual writer\, counselor\, healer\, lecturer and translator from Tokyo\, Japan. SUMMARY:Screening: “The Readings” documentary about Edgar Cayce
DESCRIPTION:CRS invites you to the NYC premiere of the Japanese documentary “The Readings” about the life and work of Edgar Cayce\, called the “sleeping prophet\,” the “father of holistic medicine\,” and the most documented psychic of the 20th century. \nTHE READINGS 2018 | 96’\ndirected by Tetsu Shiratori\nin Japanese with English subtitles \nScreenings will take place at 1 pm (sold out) and 4 pm on Saturday\, January 19\, 2019. Tickets are $15 cash at the door\, and reservations can be made by writing to inoriforearth@gmail.com. Please arrive a few minutes early. Seats will not be held after curtain time. \nCayce was born on a farm in Hopkinsville\, Kentucky\, in 1877\, and his psychic abilities began to appear as early as his childhood. As an adult\, Cayce would put himself into a state of meditation\, connecting with the universal consciousness and from this state\, came his “readings”. From holistic health and the treatment of illness to dream interpretation and reincarnation\, Cayce’s readings and insights offer practical help and advice to individuals from all walks of life\, even today. — edgarcayce.org \nJapanese director Tetsu Shiratori first learned about Cayce’s life and work at the Edgar Cayce Center in Tokyo\, one of the largest international affiliates of Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.). Shiratori’s discovery of the astonishing Cayce health remedies for diabetes\, rheumatism\, psoriasis\, and more\, led to his desire to make this film and bring these teachings to a larger audience. Tetsu interviewed many people both in the U.S. and in Japan who testified to the value of the Cayce readings. \n\n“Tetsu’s movies always deliver such important messages for the world and they are so touching.” — Michiko Hayashi\, International Ambassador and Global Director of the Emoto Peace Project in Tokyo \nTetsu’s body of film works includes: Stone Age (2005)\, Soul Education (2008)\, The Era of Fasting (2010)\, INORI – Prayer – Conversation with Something Great (2012)\, Revival (2015)\, and The Readings (2018). SUMMARY:Whirling (Sufi Dance) Practice with Live Music
DESCRIPTION:Sufis\, lovers\, mystics\, CRS and Sufi Artist Lale Sayoko invite you to join us for an hour of meditative whirling known as Sufi dance or Sema (Sama in Iranian). This is not a class (i.e. there is no instruction) but an open space where we can come together to practice and is open to people of all backgrounds who whirl and follow the path of oneness. This month Tomchess of the American Sufi Project will honor us by playing live music for us. \nYou should already know the basics of how to whirl. If you have not already learned whirling from a Sufi teacher — for example\, from our teachers Rana Gorgani\, Lale Sayoko\, or Paola Garcia\, or at one of our whirling events\, or from a Sufi lodge or community — please first attend our Sufi Dance Class with Lale Sayoko\, which takes places the first Thursday of each month from 7:30 – 9 pm at CRS\, to learn the basics. Sayoko is also available for private instruction weekdays and weekends by appointment. \nThis Whirling Practice with Live Music will usually take place on the fourth Friday of each month from 7 – 8 pm\, and live music will be provided each time by one of our musician friends. In February and March\, the fourth Friday falls the day after the third Thursday\, when our Healing Circles are held\, so in those and other such months we will endeavor to have live music and whirling in our Healing Circles (meaning there will be no fourth Friday events in those months). \nPlease remember that whirling commonly induces dizziness or nausea. Avoid eating a large meal for two hours prior to class. Over time\, through whirling\, we learn to trust ourselves to go off balance\, to be dizzy\, to surrender control\, allowing us to whirl for longer periods. You do not have to whirl for the entire hour\, but you are encouraged to explore whether your perceived limits are immutable or only self-imposed. \nWe empty our minds of all thoughts of the individual self as we give ourselves over to prayer and connect with a greater power\, the still center within\, around which we turn. Into this emptiness floods a divine fullness\, which sometimes gives rise to a state known as “mystical intoxication\,” a reflection of knowing and experiencing that you and I and the Divine are One. Together we can take courage and inspiration from one another and strengthen our practice. \nPlease wear comfortable clothing (white\, gray or black color is preferable\, avoiding prints and shiny material which might distract the eye while whirling) and wear socks or soft soled shoes. If you have a whirling skirt\, please feel free to bring it. \n$20 with advance registration\, $25 at the door \nLearn more about Sufi dance:\nhttp://www.ranagorgani.com/10-things-about-sufi-dance/ \nAbout Sufi Dance Artist Lâle Sayoko \nSayoko was one of the founding members of Japan’s famous Samanyolu professional bellydance group\, and has since developed her own solo career touring with UK’s Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers on a 44 city tour of the UK\, to Turkey’s Baba Zula\, and with New York’s Bella Gaia multimedia Earth from Space journey show. SUMMARY:Marianne Williamson for President Announcement Watch Party
DESCRIPTION:Join us to watch\, support\, and briefly discuss Marianne Williamson’s livestream announcement of her candidacy for President! \nDear Friends\, \nFor the last year I have held within my heart the idea of running for President of the United States. At a time when fear has been harnessed for political purposes\, our task is to turn wisdom and love into a political force. The lower inclinations of human nature cannot be defeated by politics alone\, but they can be overridden. \nOur political circumstances are not simply a product of external policies\, but even more so of internal dynamics like fear\, desperation\, hope and yearning. In order for us to transform the crises we are facing now\, we need a candidate whose understanding of our internal landscape is as expert as their understanding of traditional politics. \nOn November 15\, 2018\, I put out the word that I was exploring a run for the Democratic nomination for the presidency in 2020. I asked you to let me know your thoughts\, and with your dollars and your energy you did. I hope you will now join me on January 28th\, either live or in livestream\, so I can tell you mine. \nTogether we can embark on an extraordinary adventure. We can show up for our country in a way we have never shown up before. And with God’s help\, we can create miracles. \nWith thanks and love\, \nMarianne

SUMMARY:Exhibition: Archetype-Hidden Memory — Paintings by Lex Braes
DESCRIPTION:CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing) presents “Archetype-Hidden Memory\,” an exhibition of small paintings and works on paper by Lex Braes. This is the second solo exhibition by Braes at CRS\, the first having taken place in 2012. These works result from Braes’ practice of painting a handful of images over and over\, transforming them into abstract patterns that nevertheless express the energy and emotion of the original images and suggest some hidden language and connection between the works. The exhibition will open on February 11\, 2019 and will remain on view through April 14. \nAll works Courtesy of the Artist\, and Galerie Felix Ringel\, Düsseldorf. This exhibition was organized by CRS staff member Takeshi Inoue. \nRUNES \nScottish painter Lex Braes starts with a thought and an image\, and then reduces that image to a structure of a few lines\, maybe five lines or a single endless line\, like a Celtic knot. With handmade paint on plaster\, linen and here on paper\, he mines a motif that he first found in 2009\, using organic geometry to discover shapes\, creating rhomboids\, parallelograms\, and abstract forms that suggest and reminisce about ancient memories. Some of Braes’s forms recall the keening\, wailing figure of a man on a Greek krater\, seen on a trip to Athens. Others are derived from memories of a reclining female figure. These are indelible memories that sometimes become the joined lines that form two shapes\, an abstract form\, or uplifted arms signaling mourning. \nA series of forms on paper\, incremental grey lines lean slightly\, more ample or less close\, to create a rhythm\, with one smaller form set slightly apart. Another sheet of paper is loaded with forms\, erased by waves of additional colors\, and layered paint. While it appears now to be just a warm grey\, a solid wall of color\, the intimate painting on paper has some extra moisture\, with traces of liquid running down the sheet\, like cleansing rain that is seen through a dirty window. A third painting on paper\, reveals a layered technique where the remaining stroke is a single gesture\, an O form. \nPoignantly marked with ground earth pigments mixed with polymers on prepared paper\, his images are reminders of a fleeting impression as it crosses the painter’s mind. Perhaps that happens once or maybe a hundred times in a day\, and probably too many times in an hour. The thoughts are punctuated with a change of material or surface. His reductive paintings are layered and built up surfaces\, mixing in the ad hoc elements of rain water\, or moldy earth as a new color\, connecting to primal and essential nature with constant reconfiguration\, to end up with the most fragile simplicity. Strong statements\, given in bare minimal colors that remind of earth\, first strokes like cave paintings\, blue water and sky. Using a language only known to him\, yet universal\, Braes draws upon the essential wildness of his native Scotland\, filled with the ancient civilizing and peaceful grounding of Pictish stones\, runic inscriptions and pictograms that channel ancient and universal human emotions. \nThe painter’s daily movement travels between small oil sketches on paper to rounded sculpted forms\, connected to remnants of wood\, or paintings on linen. New drawings of graphite marks emerge from beneath layers and layers of an empty space\, formed by painting around reserved places on the paper\, allowing viewers to peek at an original space of emptiness. Braes captures an essential quality undetected in our daily frenetic lives. He bridges living memory of enduring spirit with a connection from the past. \n— Lisa A. SUMMARY:CRS Healing Circle: Meditation + Whirling Prayer
DESCRIPTION:Join us Thursday\, Feb 21\, 2019 at 7:15 pm for our monthly Healing Circle + Whirling (Sufi Dance) + Prayer led by CRS co-founders Yasuko Kasaki and Christopher Pelham and Sufi Dance Artist Lale Sayoko. We gather to let go of our small selves and remember our divinity within. Musician Lulla LayLa will be with us to play the tanbour and sing during our whirling. \nBring in any issue — relationship trauma\, #metoo\, disease\, money issue\, depression — and surrender it to Spirit. Remember who you are. Receive new guidance. Experience love’s presence. Heal yourself and others. The founder of CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing)\, the first and only spiritual center devoted to the teaching and practice of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) in New York City\, she is widely recognized as the person most responsible for the spread of ACIM throughout Japan. She has taught and worked with thousands of people from around the world to help resolve their mental and physical issues and witness miracles. She is the author of 16 books in Japanese about ACIM\, as well as numerous novels\, short stories\, essays and collections of photographs. Her translations of the ACIM Workbook and books by ACIM writers Jon Mundy\, Gabrielle Bernstein and David Hoffmeister and others have also been published in Japan. Meditation and communication with Holy Spirit form the foundation of her classes.\nhttp://www.yasukokasaki.com \nChristopher Pelham is a spiritual healer/counselor/teacher/artist who draws on practices from ACIM\, Non-Violent Communication\, improvisational theater\, Sufism\, and contemporary shamanism to help people remember who they really are. He is the Director and co-founder of CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing). He has also taught and/or offered healing in London\, in Japan\, at the 2018 Awakening to the One Mind Retreat\, and at the 2017 Enlight Festival of A Course in Miracles in Ibiza\, Spain.  \nLulla LayLa is a Japanese Singer Songwriter\, Composer and Singer originally based in Tokyo\, Japan. Since 2000\, she has made her creative home in New York City. Lulla LayLa’s music has Japanese traditional elements combined with a psychedelic/contemporary world folk sensibility. Her music delivers haunting piano ballads about love and many other subjects. Since 2017\, she has also been composing songs with and accompany herself on the Kurdish tanbur. With this instrument\, her sound takes on an even more exotic folk sensibility. The theme of her songs/poems never changes\, but when writing for tanbur she does utilize a more simplified lyric with a repetitive structure that will leave a magical impression on your heart. You may also find these songs to be influenced by Sufi music. On several occasions audience members from different parts of the world have said to Lulla LayLa\, ” Your music makes me nostalgic because your music seems like my country’s music\,” even though she was not familiar with or hadn’t heard their country’s songs. She loves the idea of folk or devotional music bringing people together. Lulla LayLa says\, “We all know that the original songwriter of all lyrics and music is one\, as we all know that our original home country is one.”\nhttps://www.facebook.com/lullalaylatunes/

SUMMARY:Sufi Dance Class with Lâle Sayoko
DESCRIPTION:Learn the ancient practice of meditative whirling known as Sufi dance or Sema (Sama in Iranian). You will learn the techniques of whirling\, but Sema is not about reproducing a certain form or aesthetic. Rather\, the technique serves as a vehicle for inner journeying. Sema means spiritual listening. Together we’ll create a sacred space in which we can safely listen to and share our true selves and experience oneness with the Divine. \nEach class consists of some explanation of the theory and technique\, exercises\, practice whirling\, and sharing and discussion of what you experienced and felt. \nWhirling commonly induces dizziness or nausea. Over time\, through whirling\, we learn to trust ourselves to go off balance\, to be dizzy\, to surrender control. We empty our minds of all thoughts of the individual self as we give ourselves over to prayer and connect with a greater power\, the still center within\, around which we turn. Into this emptiness floods a divine fullness\, which sometimes gives rise to a state known as “mystical intoxication\,” a reflection of knowing and experiencing that you and I and the Divine are One. \nPlease wear comfortable clothing (white\, gray or black color is preferable\, avoiding prints and shiny material which might distract the eye while whirling) and wear socks or soft soled shoes. If you have a whirling skirt and/or a frame drum\, please feel free to bring it. Avoid eating a large meal for two hours prior to class. \n$20 with advance registration\, $25 at the door \nLearn more about Sufi dance:\nhttp://www.ranagorgani.com/10-things-about-sufi-dance/ \nAbout Sufi Dance Instructor Lâle Sayoko \nSayoko was one of the founding members of Japan’s famous Samanyolu professional bellydance group\, and has since developed her own solo career touring with UK’s Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers on a 44 city tour of the UK\, to Turkey’s Baba Zula\, and with New York’s Bella Gaia multimedia Earth from Space journey show. SUMMARY:USAATO Clothing Exhibition & Sale
DESCRIPTION:CRS welcomes you to the seventh exhibition of USAATO clothing at CRS on March 10\, 2019! Designer Mr. Usaburo will give a talk from 12:30 – 1:30 pm and then the exhibition will be on view for shopping until 5 pm. Mr. Usaboro will personally help to select and coordinate the garments that would suit you best! \nUSAATO shares beautiful traditional clothes made in Chiang Mai\, Thailand. The clothing is designed by Japanese haute couture designer Usaburo Sato with fabrics made by the caring hands of the Thai people. The fabrics are mostly made of hand-spun cotton\, silk and hemp\, picked in mountains and villages\, naturally dyed from plants and fruits\, then made into clothes with traditional weaving machines by women in local villages of north and northeast Thailand and Laos. The attention\, time and passion put into the creation of these clothes give it a sense of energy that can be felt on your body and in your soul. Soft and warm\, relaxing wears suitable for both outside and home. \nAll fabrics are once gathered at “USAATO SIAM” in Chiang Mai and then delivered for the sewing process. USAATO clothes are sewn by individuals and groups outbound Chiang Mai\, not by the company’s factory. (One part of our products is from machine-weaving.) \nThe products are mostly women’s clothes but men’s clothes\, children’s clothes\, samue (monk’s working clothes)\, and rakui (pajamas) are also available. Approximate prices for tops are from $70 to $180 while bottoms are from $90 to $180. \nUSAATO clothes are selling all over the world at pop-up exhibitions organized by USAATO partners called coordinators. USSATO NEW YORK will hold exhibitions every few months at CRS. \nWearing hemp clothing promotes personal health in a variety of ways. Hemp/ cotton blends are both more absorbent humid and more mildew resistant than 100% cotton. Fabric made using 50% or higher of hemp will block more UV rays than non-hemp fabrics. And have you ever noticed that hemp-made garments don’t create static? That is because hemp has the same net static charge as human skin\, resonating perfectly with our electromagnetic fields. \nContact : CRS 212-677-8621　or 914-703-8018 Senko or universalcreation1000@gmail.com \nhttp://www.usaato.com

You can see the full festival lineup and purchase an early bird pass now! \nAt CRS:\nVideo Diary workshop (preceded by a screening of “Bari Upside Up” 10′)\nTuesday\, March 19 from 3:10 – 4:00 pm\nPresented by Brigitte Gauthier\nRSVP here:  rsvp.srff@gmail.com \n“In the Video Diary Workshop I will guide filmmakers into the exploration of the visual clues hidden in locations which can be used to trigger your creative imagination for future projects. Narration nowadays is a visual experience. In order to promote our movies in Cannes or other venues\, a script\, or a synopsis is no longer sufficient. Filmmakers are asked to provide Mood Boards\, Visual Pitches and Visual References. Teasers are often required. We go Visual. The idea of the workshop is to give you some advice on how to gather visual informations and reorganize them into a narrative thread to serve your development process.” \nBrigitte Gauthier is Head of the SLAM Research Center\, Head of SCRIPT and Trilingual Transmedia Master\, Professor at EVE University (Université d’Evry-Paris Saclay\, France) \n————— \nSR Socially Relevant(TM) Film Festival New York aims at be the catalyst in helping production move towards  broader Socially Relevant content in films through: \n\nShowcasing filmmakers and helping them develop new films that address socially relevant topics in an entertaining manner designed to reach a wider audience.\nFostering industry professionals and taste makers to effect change by showing that SR films can be entertaining\, funny\, enlightening\, uplifting\, appealing and when made well even commercially viable.\nIdentifying socially relevant content and reaching new audiences by using online social media and other marketing strategies.\nAssisting sales and distribution companies in selecting socially relevant content and distributing it.\nEstablishing international partnerships (with film festivals\, film commissions\, industry partners) in order to support a currently underserved style of motion pictures in the marketplace.

SUMMARY:CRS Healing Circle: Meditation + Whirling Prayer with Live Music
DESCRIPTION:Join us Thursday\, March 21\, 2019 at 7:15 pm for our monthly Healing Circle + Whirling (Sufi Dance) + Prayer led by CRS co-founders Yasuko Kasaki and Christopher Pelham and Sufi Dance Artist Lale Sayoko. We gather to let go of our small selves and remember our divinity within. We are honored to have the flutist Cheryl Pyle\, one of the premiere jazz flutists in the world\, to play with us this month! \nBring in any issue — relationship trauma\, #metoo\, disease\, money issue\, depression — and surrender it to Spirit. Remember who you are. Receive new guidance. Experience love’s presence in a safe and supportive community. Heal yourself and others. DESCRIPTION:CRS presents an evening with the award-winning singer songwriter Neda Boin of the Netherlands\, whose first album\, “The Light Has Come\,” just won Best Album of the Year at the Rotterdam Music Awards. Amazingly\, Neda\, a student of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) for 8+ years\, channeled all the songs on the album in just two weeks\, all inspired from ACIM Workbook lessons\, making it the first album inspired by ACIM to win album of the year. Profoundly spiritual in nature\, the songs are deeply satisfying as songs\, with beautiful and irresistible music colored with soul\, jazz and world music inflections\, brought to soaring life by Neda’s angelic voice. \n“Neda’s music is a way to merge with the Spirit and feel the absolute glory of Divine Love. Her amazing voice enhances the lyrics from Heaven\, and my soul is lifted every time I listen.” — David Hoffmeister\, author of Unwind Your Mind Back to God \nThis concert will take place Friday\, March 29\, 2019 at 7:30 pm at CRS and kicks off the Living in the Light Course in Miracles Weekend\, which will continue throughout the day on March 30 with talks\, workshops\, and healing shared by Neda Boin\, Corinne Zupko (author of From Anxiety to Love)\, CRS Founder Yasuko Kasaki (author of 16 books in Japanese about ACIM)\, and the CRS healers. This will be the first ACIM weekend in NYC since the CMC ACIM Conference in 2015. \n\n Individual tickets for the concert as well as for the weekend are available online\, by phone (212-677-8621)\, and at CRS. Concert tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door ($20 at the door for students/seniors with valid ID). \nBuy Concert Tickets!\nSaturday’s program tickets are $120 in advance and $140 at the door ($100 at the door for students/seniors with valid ID). Combined tickets are $140. \nBuy Combined Two-Day Concert/Workshop Tickets!\n \nIn this concert\, Neda will share many songs with you as well as many helpful parables about her own journey from darkness to light. Before the album was released\, Neda often joked with her friends that she would rename the album to “The Darkness has Come” since there was so much healing taking place before the album fully got recorded. Go to www.nedaboin.com to listen to the album. You’re invited to sing along\, or you can just allow the beautiful words and melodies to wash over you. \n“Those who seek the light are merely covering their eyes\, the light is in them now. Enlightenment is but a recognition\, not a change at all” (W-188.1.2). \nCheck out her mini documentary here to see more about this journey. \n\n\n\nABOUT NEDA BOIN \nNeda\, literally meaning ‘Inner Voice’ or ‘Voice for God\,’ discovered her musical talent at a young age. When she was five years old\, she began\, just like her mother who is a professional violin player\, with playing the violin. However\, singing was always her first love. Around the age of thirteen she learned to play the piano and developed a way to express herself by writing her own songs. In 2006 she won a national music contest with one of the first songs that she wrote. \nIn the summer of 2007 she toured through Kenya for orphanages\, schools\, slums and different tribes with a performance about HIV and AIDS. In the summer of 2008 she went to India to investigate child prostitution and give workshops and performances about women’s rights. It was then that she even more so experienced the power and universal language of music. \n“I saw that making music wasn’t a goal for me anymore\, it became a way to connect with people and touch their hearts\,” she says. A few years later she hitchhiked from The Netherlands all the way down to South Africa. \n“The songs I was writing were mostly inspired by the injustice I saw during my travels. They were songs about wanting to change the world.” But when in 2010\, at age 20\, A Course in Miracles came into her life\, she started training her own mind so she could be the example of love and peace she so badly wanted to see outside herself. \nIn 2013 Neda won both the audience and the jury prizes at the Music Matters Awards\, which made her the music ambassador of Rotterdam for one whole year. Shortly after\, she graduated from the music conservatory of Rotterdam with a Bachelor of Music. She successfully released her first EP\, “When Lambs Become Lions\,” in October 2014. She also started giving songwriting workshops in juvenile prison\, which she is currently still doing. \nIn 2015 Neda convinced all four coaches of “The Voice” of Holland to turn their chairs around for her\, and she made it all the way to the last eight contestants. \nLast year she woke up one morning feeling as if she was being pulled towards the piano where the Course Workbook lesson 124 was lying open: “Let me remember I am one with God.” Words and melodies came pouring through her\, and before she knew it\, she had written a complete song with lyrics from that Workbook lesson. The same thing happened everyday for two weeks until she had enough “Course songs” to fill a whole album\, which turned into her debut album\, “The Light Has Come.” \nYou can learn more about Neda Boin on her web site at nedaboin.com.

And in each moment that the ego temps us\, we make a choice for Spirit again. This moment to moment practice can be facilitated by offering miracles to our brothers. By doing so\, we ultimately recognize our oneness and all that is not true\, including fear and anxiety\, simply dissolves. What is left is pure joy! In this workshop\, participants will learn and experience practical strategies for dissolving fear and living in the light. \nABOUT SPIRITUAL HEALING WITH YASUKO AND CRS HEALERS \nOur healing is based on the Course. ACIM says that salvation occurs when you are with your brother. When you know the truth about your brother\, you will know the truth of who you truly are\, because you will recognize that you and your brother are actually one. Recognizing this truth is the only way to experience peace. Bring any issue you are facing right now — physically\, emotionally\, mentally\, and/or spiritually. With eyes closed (you will be seated and a healer will stand nearby; no touching is involved)\, a CRS healer will observe you with his inner sight\, free of any judgments\, as your truly are\, a perfect shining spirit. Together\, will ask the Holy Spirit (or inner guide if you prefer) to bring us directly to whatever seed thought is causing your current issues and ask for guidance about how your spirit really wants to make use of your present situation for its growth and sharing of love. After about 5 – 10 minutes of meditation together\, we share the inspirational guidance that we receive. \nABOUT VOICE LIBERATION WITH NEDA \nIn voice liberation the voice is used as an instrument to deeply connect with others and with Spirit. The joy of “being sung through” is a truly liberating experience! Throughout this workshop\, our focus will be to “step back and let Him lead the way.” Discovering your inner voice comes from a place of deep surrender and trust. Even if you have no musical background or believe you have no talent\, you will be able to participate in experiential singing and songwriting! Spirit will facilitate emotional healing by guiding you to get in touch with and express your Inner Voice. You will be supported in using your voice as a gateway to allow what is ready to come up to the surface to be released. \n\n\n\nABOUT THE PRESENTERS \nYasuko Kasaki is an internationally beloved spiritual writer\, counselor\, healer\, lecturer and translator from Tokyo. She is widely recognized as the person most responsible for the spread of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) throughout Japan. In 2004 she founded CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing)\, the first and only spiritual center devoted to the teaching and practice of ACIM in New York City. She has taught and worked with thousands of people from around the world to help resolve their mental and physical issues and witness miracles. She presents at the CMC’s annual ACIM Conferences in the U.S.\, and several times a year she gives large seminars throughout Japan. \nYasuko has authored 16 books in Japanese about the Course\, as well as numerous novels\, short stories\, essays and collections of photographs. Her translations of the ACIM Workbook and of books by Course teachers Jon Mundy\, Gabrielle Bernstein and David Hoffmeister have also been published in Japan. Yasuko’s spiritual writing and lectures are celebrated for their clearly stated explanations of complex concepts illustrated by captivating personal stories of struggle and triumph\, drawn from her long career as a writer\, motorcyclist\, and spiritual counselor. Meditation and communication with Holy Spirit form the foundation of her practice. yasukokasaki.com \n“Yasuko Kasaki’s seminar is like the best rock concerts. I am still hearing Jimi Hendrix’s guitar echoing in the back of my ear!” — Toru Nishida\, Editor-in-Chief of Yuhobika magazine \n\n\n\n  \nCorinne Zupko\, EdS\, MA\, LPC\, is the author of the bestselling and award-winning book\, From Anxiety to Love: A Radical New Approach for Letting Go of Fear and Finding Lasting Peace (New World Library\, 2018).  Corinne was diagnosed with her first anxiety disorder at a very young age and struggled with debilitating anxiety for nearly three decades. Determined not to let the anxiety run her life\, she dove into living the principles of the psychological and spiritual text A Course in Miracles. With the Course and mindfulness meditation as tools on her journey\, she has found inner peace to be unstoppable and now teaches others to discover it in themselves. Corinne is a keynote speaker\, Adjunct Professor of Counselor Education\, counselor\, Board Certified Coach and teaches weekly mindfulness meditation classes at a major U.S. financial institution. fromanxietytolove.com \n“Corinne is a masterful teacher!” — Alan Cohen\, author of A Course in Miracles Made Easy \n“Corinne has the most amazing way of communicating the wisdom of ACIM through hands on and practical approaches that work.” — Mignon L \n“I read Corinne’s book a few months ago and then I read it 3 more times. Everyone who worries\, frets\, feels fear at the smallest and largest things will find hope\, practices and inspiration in Corinne’s work.” — Deb McDe \n\n\n\n  \nNeda Boin is a singer songwriter from Rotterdam in The Netherlands. In 2013 Neda won both the audience and the jury prizes at the Music Matters Awards\, which made her the music ambassador of Rotterdam for one whole year. Shortly after\, she graduated from the music conservatory of Rotterdam with a Bachelor of Music. She successfully released her first EP\, “When Lambs Become Lions\,” in October 2014. She also started giving songwriting workshops in juvenile prison\, which she is currently still doing. In 2015 Neda convinced all four coaches of “The Voice” of Holland to turn their chairs around for her\, and she made it all the way to the last eight contestants. A student of A Course in Miracles for 8+ years\, she channeled her latest album\, “The Light Has Come” over a period of two weeks in 2018. Lyrics for each of the songs were inspired by ACIM Workbook lessons. Profoundly spiritual in nature\, the songs are also deeply satisfying as songs\, with beautiful and irresistible music colored with soul\, jazz and world music inflections\, brought to soaring life by Neda’s angelic voice\, and the album went on to win Album of the Year at the Rotterdamn Music Awards! Neda has lately been using her Course experiences and musical gifts to teach Voice Liberation workshops at David Hoffmeister’s Living Miracles Monastery and elsewhere. nedaboin.com \n\n\n\nABOUT CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing)\n\nCRS is a healing and art center founded in 2004 by the Japanese spiritual writer/counselor/lecturer Yasuko Kasaki and her students. SUMMARY:Sufi Dance Class with Läle Sayoko
\nPlease wear comfortable clothing like yoga pants or leggings and T shirts ( no tube top or short pants) and solid colors are recommended\, avoiding prints and shiny material which might distract the eye while whirling\, and wear socks or soft soled shoes. If you have a whirling skirt\, please feel free to bring it. \nAvoid eating a large meal for two hours prior to class. \nClasses are $25 ($20 with advanced registration). \nAbout Sufi Dance Instructor Läle Sayoko \nSufi Dance Instructor Läle Sayoko lives to embody and transmit the voice of spirit through music and dance. As CRS resident Sufi Dance instructor\, choreographer\, performing artist\, and musical curator\, she loves to welcome people into this holy practice to explore and share their own divinity. After a long professional dance career\, she retired to support her young daughter through a life-threatening medical crisis. Several years later she discovered that she could whirl as a form of prayer to support her daughter and began studying Sufi Dance with Paris-based Sufi Artist Rana Gorgani. In April 2018 Gorgani awarded her the International Sufi Dance Certification Of Cid UNESCO\, granting her authority to teach Gorgani’s method of Sufi Dance training. She currently teaches Sufi Dance classes at CRS every first Thursday of the month from 7 – 8:30 pm and leads the CRS Healing Circles + Whirling Prayer that take place every third Thursday of the month from 7:15 – 9 pm.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/lale.sayoko \n
