SUMMARY:Shamanic Sound Bath + Full Moon Meditation: Release + Align
DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to release what no longer serves you? \nThis month coincides with the summer equinox\, a powerful time of year that transitions us from one stage to the next. \nThis summer is incredibly powerful… there is a lot of activity in the cosmos and now is the time to ALIGN WITH YOUR DESTINY! \nJoin energy medicine maven Divine J9 for a deeply immersive and meditative sound experience to RELAX\, RELEASE\, and RECHARGE. \nWe create sacred space by calling in our ancestors and the elements. Then we set the intention to release what no longer serves us\, which adds profound depth to this sound meditation. \nDivine J9 infuses this soothing sonic experience with loving intention\, creating a multi-layered powerful healing environment to restore balance to the body-mind-soul. \nWhile lying down in savasana (restorative yoga pose)\, you are immersed in soothing sounds from crystal singing bowls\, tuning forks\, Koshi chimes and other high vibrational instruments. The ideal relaxing setting to support the natural healing process in the body-mind-soul. \nCrystal singing bowls have the ability to activate alpha and theta brain waves\, which are linked with a deep meditative state that is incredibly favorable for healing. Tuned to specific frequencies that align with the human energy centers\, orCHAKRAS\, crystal singing bowls send focused sound waves that balance and restore the energy centers health back to our natural vibrant potential. \nSPACE IS LIMITED. This is an intimate gathering and will sell out. Secure your spot today! \nConveniently located steps from Union Square train station (N\, R\, 4\, 5\, 6\, L). Garage and street parking available. \n*Please arrive 10 minutes early. Event starts promptly. Doors close once event begins. \nGUEST COMMENTS \n“I loved my sound bath! Through modern technology\, the ANCIENT HEALING PRACTICE of sound fused with the incredible transmitting power of pure quartz crystal creating this super-healing sound tool. A sound bath with crystal singing bowls is a powerful SOUND HEALING session.

SUMMARY:OH SHIFT: A Night of Radical Self Acceptance
DESCRIPTION:CRS welcome Nichole Sylvester\, author of OH SHIFT:  A Journey from Chaos to Consciousness for a night of meditation\, activation\, Q & A. \nShedding subconscious patterns and beliefs that limit your overall performance. \nYou become bolder\, brighter and more visible. \nGreater impact\, increased income and your  ideal lifestyle await your yes. \nWill you step into devotion and life from your TRUTH? \nEVERYTHING YOU DESIRE IS ALREADY HERE\n\nIsn’t it comforting to know that your deepest desires are waiting for your yes? It’s so simple to say yes.  Yet\, desires can feel elusive. Why? Inner-Conflict. This conflict between what you desire and what you believe you deserve can leave the most intelligent and inspired woman feeling stuck. It’s not a block\, it’s a lack of awareness. You’ll be clear once you tap into your Divinity. \nHealing is not intellectual. You cannot talk it out. \nYou’ll have to Journey Deeper.\n\nI bet you’re wondering what life would be like it you turned your POWER on and cranked it up. \nHow would it feel to nourish yourself like never before? Asking for exactly what you need\, feeling confident and rooted in your truth? \nCan you imagine the radiance that would follow the release of guilt and shame you’ve weighed yourself down with? \nHow would your income shift if you were totally aware of your value? \nWhat kind of impact would you make if you embraced and harnessed your full emotional spectrum? \n This is Awakening\n\nThis is my work. I guide you inward to consciously explore the depths of your being. Activating your awareness of self and sparking radical shifts in conscious to transform your life. Awakening is a journey into your Highest Self. You’ll come to see yourself as a power source\, a soul with a body\, not the other way around. \nThe journey is infinite\, as you are an infinite being. Your potential is infinite. However\, the tools you learn during our time together will last a lifetime. You will discover how to drop into yourself and transmute energies on your own. This work is the process of becoming your own Guru. \n Master your Self to master your life\n\nWhat this really means is to harness your power and understand that you have the ability to influence the world around you. To say you can’t do or have one thing or another is to remain in the dark about who you really are. You are a Divine Co-creator. You are able to tap into the Infinite and release the limitations you’ve agreed to. \nI support revolutionary leaders who seek to increase impact and income while participating in the evolution of their consciousness. Is that you?

SUMMARY:Opening Reception for the Exhibition “Love Planet” by yukko*
DESCRIPTION:CRS invites you to an Opening Reception on July 7\, 2018 from 5 – 7 pm for the exhibition Love Planet —  sending love of the plants all over the world through photography\, by photographer yukko＊. There will be live music by the artist. The exhibition will open Saturday\, July 7\, 2018 and will remain on view through August 30\, 2018. \nExhibition Concept \n‘Love Planet Project’ was created by photographer yukko＊ to share love of plants all over the world through photography. \nThe aim of this project is for the plants in yukko＊’s photo postcards to be delivered all over the world by those who join this project by ‘pay-it-forwarding’. \nIn this show the original prints of the postcards and posters of the 16 selected photos used for the project postcards as well as the actual postcards themselves will be displayed. \n All her photos were taken with a film camera\, and none of them have been re-touched by the computer. \nArtist Statement \nPlants have always seemed to be very close to me since I was a child.  Without recognizing it\, I started taking photos and naturally I became a photographer specializing in pictures of plants. Gradually I noticed that I always felt the affection and graciousness of the plants while taking photos\, and started to want to try to transform the plants’ energy of love into light through photography. At the same time I started to talk to the plants when taking photos saying\, “Please let me deliver your love to those who need it.” \nHaving seen visitors to my photo exhibition shed tears while looking at my photos\, it became certain to me that the wave of love of plants can be passed on to us human beings\, and I decided to deliver the love of plants all over the world through photography.  As a start\, I have launched this ‘Love Planet Project’ in New York through this photo exhibition at CRS. \nBio \nyukko＊ was born and raised in Sapporo\, Japan. She became interested in different cultures when she saw a lot of foreign guests at the winter Olympic games in her hometown when she was a child. She kept this interest in the world and became an English translator at the local government after she studied at Kings College\, London. During her career as a translator she came to understand the cultural diversity as well as re-recognizing the spiritual nature of Japanese people. \nBeing transferred to the suburb to work as a staff in charge of tourism she started to take photographs as a part of her work. It did not take long for her to be absorbed in photography and she came to recognize that photos reflect what the photographer sees and feels. \nShe experienced depression during her next career in the government and decided to quit\, and started her new career as a photographer in Osaka. \nNow she holds photo exhibitions in various places in Japan as well as photo classes and portrait shooting.  She also works as a personal fashion-consultant and also as a singer.  She is an integrated artist supporting people to live honest to their nature. \n

SUMMARY:Crossing Boundaries Concert Series: Azalea — Music by Quiet Revolution (Ki Young & gamin)
DESCRIPTION:CRS presents Azalea\, an intimate evening of music composed by Ki Young Kim and performed by Quiet Revolution (musicians Ki Young Kim and gamin of Korea) in the award-winning White Room at CRS on Friday\, July 27\, 2018 at 8 pm. Azalea is the inaugural program of the Crossing Boundaries — Echoes of Korea — Concert Series curated by Gamin. \nKi Young (claves and voice) and Gamin (saenghwang and piri) are renowned for carrying Korean traditional music into the present\, inciting an irresistible dialog between classic and contemporary. “Gamin is…a true pioneer and innovator\, leading these instruments in exciting new directions” — Ralph Samuelson (senior advisor\, Asian Cultural Council). \nTickets are $20 in advance\, $25 on the day of the concert\, and are available online\, by phone (212-677-8621)\, and at CRS. Tickets for students and seniors (65+) with valid ID are available at the door for $15. Seating is limited. \nThe Program \nAll works are composed or transcribed by Ki Young Kim. \nAzaleas (saenghwang\, poetry)\nAzaleas by poets Sowol Kim and Dong Yeop Shin. This poetry symbolizes Korean sorrow\, regret and despair. Submissiveness becomes strength\, surrender becomes hope. Through meditative musical phrases\, transcendance grows. \nThe Mountain’s Angry Cry (piri solo)\nBased on a traditional folk song. One sings standing on the mountain and competes with the spirit of the mountain. Today the song becomes a weeping lament because the mountain has become bare and dry. \nSpeed and Silence (saenghwang\, claves\, voice)\nThis composition is inspired by the picture of a city\, quiet and peaceful\, prior to gentrification. \nCROSSING BOUNDARIES — ECHOES OF KOREA will provide musicians from Korea with space to experiment with the new\, to collaborate across genres\, cultures and disciplines\, and to explore new ways of using creative communication to facilitate a shared practice of presence. The goal will be to dissolve boundaries between performers and audiences\, the traditional and contemporary\, classical and experimental\, Korea and the world. Participants in the series are encouraged to incorporate meditation\, improvisation\, and collaborations with visual and movement-based artists as well as musical artists from different traditions. Performances will take place in the award-winning White Room (named by Homes to Love as one of nine yoga studios around the world “that achieve design nirvana”) at CRS designed in 2015 by Clouds AO. \nCROSSING BOUNDARIES — ECHOES OF KOREA will be curated by gamin  (piri\, taepyeonso\, saenghwang). Two future programs of the Crossing Boundaries — Echoes of Korea — Concert Series are currently scheduled: \nFriday\, September 14\, 2018 at 8 pm\nYut Nori:  Contemporary conceptual art and music\ncomposed by Hyojee Kang \nFriday\, November 9\, 2018 at 8 pm\n7 words chanting_Yeongsanheosang:  Korean traditional music concert\npiri\, saenghwang by gamin\nhaegeum by Minkyung Park \nAbout the Artists \ngamin \ngamin is a yisuja of the Important Intangible Cultural Asset No. 46 for piri and daechita. gamin is one of the most celebrated piri\, taepyeongso (Korean traditional oboe family) and saengwhang (ancient wind-blow instrument) performers in Korea today. From 2000 to 2010\, she was a member and assistant principal player of the Contemporary Gukak Orchestra at the National Gukak Center\, the hub for training and preserving Korean traditional music. Today\, she experiments and expands her musical realm to interdisciplinary projects in collaboration with international artists. She was a recipient of residency program grant from the Korean Ministry of Culture\, Sports\, and Tourism and Asian Cultural Council (ACC) of Rockefeller Foundation\, has toured for lecture concerts at Harvard University\, Dartmouth University\, University of Pennsylvania and etc. She received her DMA in traditional music at Seoul National University and published the book “Advanced Techinuqes of PIRI” by Minsokwon\, in Seoul. \n*yisuja is a title designated to someone who mastered a course study in an intangible cultural asset of Korea. jeonsuja is a lower title. \nhttp://www.gamin-music.com/ \nKi Young Kim \nDubbed a borderless musician\, Ki Young has moved in and out of Genres and across international boundaries\, while collaborating with dancers\, theater directors\, visual artists in various fields and forms. He is the founder of CMB 567 ( Contemporary Music Band 567)\, a groups of four composers and seven musicians dedicated to exploring the interaction among various contemporary korean and other asian music and art forms. He lives in New York. \n

SUMMARY:Intro to Sufi Dance Class with Lâle Sayoko
DESCRIPTION:Learn the ancient practice of meditative whirling known as Sufi dance or Sema (Sama in Iranian). You will learn the techniques of whirling\, but Sema is not about reproducing a certain form or aesthetic. Rather\, the technique serves as a vehicle for inner journeying. Sema means spiritual listening. Together we’ll create a sacred space in which we can safely listen to and share our true selves and experience oneness with the Divine. \nEach class consists of some explanation of the theory and technique\, exercises\, practice whirling\, and sharing and discussion of what you experienced and felt. \nWhirling commonly induces dizziness or nausea. Over time\, through whirling\, we learn to trust ourselves to go off balance\, to be dizzy\, to surrender control. We empty our minds of all thoughts of the individual self as we give ourselves over to prayer and connect with a greater power\, the still center within\, around which we turn. Into this emptiness floods a divine fullness\, which sometimes gives rise to a state known as “mystical intoxication\,” a reflection of knowing and experiencing that you and I and the Divine are One. \nPlease wear comfortable clothing (white\, gray or black color is preferable\, avoiding prints and shiny material which might distract the eye while whirling) and wear socks or soft soled shoes. If you have a whirling skirt and/or a frame drum\, please feel free to bring it. Avoid eating a large meal for two hours prior to class. \n$20 with advance registration\, $25 at the door \nLearn more about Sufi dance:\nhttp://www.ranagorgani.com/10-things-about-sufi-dance/ \nAbout Sufi Dance Instructor Lâle Sayoko \nSayoko was one of the founding members of Japan’s famous Samanyolu professional bellydance group\, and has since developed her own solo career touring with UK’s Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers on a 44 city tour of the UK\, to Turkey’s Baba Zula\, and with New York’s Bella Gaia multimedia Earth from Space journey show. Lale aspires for dance to be a powerful communicator though traditional technique and spiritual embodiment. She has lately been studying Sufi dance with Rana Gorgani\, and in April 2018 Gorgani awarded her the International Sufi Dance Certification Of Cid UNESCO\, granting her authority to teach Gorgani’s method of Sufi dance training. With CRS co-founders Yasuko Kasaki and Christopher Pelham\, she leads the CRS Healing Circles + Whirling that take place every third Thursday of the month at CRS (2nd Thursday in Aug 2018). \nhttp://www.lalesayoko.com

SUMMARY:USAATO Clothing Exhibition & Sale
DESCRIPTION:CRS welcomes you to the fourth exhibition of USAATO clothing at CRS on August 4\, 2018! Designer Mr. Usaburo’s staff will personally help to select and coordinate the garments that would suit you best. \nAugust 4 from 11 am – 5 pm in the award-winning White Room \nUSAATO shares beautiful traditional clothes made in Chiang Mai\, Thailand. The clothing is designed by Japanese haute couture designer Usaburo Sato with fabrics made by the caring hands of the Thai people. The fabrics are mostly made of hand-spun cotton\, silk and hemp\, picked in mountains and villages\, naturally dyed from plants and fruits\, then made into clothes with traditional weaving machines by women in local villages of north and northeast Thailand and Laos. The attention\, time and passion put into the creation of these clothes give it a sense of energy that can be felt on your body and in your soul. Soft and warm\, relaxing wears suitable for both outside and home. \nAll fabrics are once gathered at “USAATO SIAM” in Chiang Mai and then delivered for the sewing process. USAATO clothes are sewn by individuals and groups outbound Chiang Mai\, not by the company’s factory. (One part of our products is from machine-weaving.) \nThe products are mostly women’s clothes but men’s clothes\, children’s clothes\, samue (monk’s working clothes)\, and rakui (pajamas) are also available. Approximate prices for tops are from $70 to $180 while bottoms are from $90 to $180. \nUSAATO clothes are selling all over the world at pop-up exhibitions organized by USAATO partners called coordinators. USSATO NEW YORK will hold exhibitions every few months at CRS. \nWearing hemp clothing promotes personal health in a variety of ways. Hemp/ cotton blends are both more absorbent humid and more mildew resistant than 100% cotton. Fabric made using 50% or higher of hemp will block more UV rays than non-hemp fabrics. And have you ever noticed that hemp-made garments don’t create static? That is because hemp has the same net static charge as human skin\, resonating perfectly with our electromagnetic fields. \nFollowing the exhibition there will be a concert by world musician Chakkiri at 7 pm. Chakkiri plays using numerous instruments\, some of them he made himself and many collected in his global travels\, that produce beautiful tones. He learned Classical Indian Raga Music from Kishor Gosh\, who studied under world-renowned Ravi Shankar. He has been in on a journey to create and share borderless music drawing improvisationally on various traditional music forms and contemporary styles to create musical conversations from spirit and of the moment. He also regularly teachers workshops and offers own unique form of music therapy. \nEnjoy Organic clothes and soul-shaking sound! \nContact : CRS 212-677-8621　or 914-703-8018 Senko or universalcreation1000@gmail.com \nhttp://www.usaato.com

SUMMARY:Four Seasons in NY: Gems of Japanese Music Vol. 12
DESCRIPTION:CRS & Mar Creation\, Inc. invite you to discover traditional Japanese music by the acclaimed koto and shamisen player and vocalist Yoko Reikano Kimura\, offered together with an exclusive taste of beautiful Japanese seasonal sweets prepared by Mochi Rin. The next concert will take place in the award-winning White Room at CRS on Sunday\, August 12\, 2018 at 4 pm. Tickets are $25 and include delicious wagashi (sweets). Seating is limited and advanced purchased (online\, by phone 212-677-8621\, or in person at CRS) is encouraged. \nProgram;\nChidori no Kyoku – Songs of Plover – (Yoshizawa kengyo)\nShin Sarashi (Fukakusa kengyo/arranged by Kin’ichi Nakanoshima)\nMittsu no Dansho – Three Fragments – (Kin’ichi Nakanoshima) \n“…Yoko Reikano Kimura\, playing the shamisen and singing\, is superb….” — New York Times \n“…Kimura’s performance on the solo shamisen was quite stunning. An elegant refined presence perfectly poised\, she played with precision\, beauty and the utmost confidence….” — San Francisco Examiner \nAfter many centuries\, the brilliance of traditional Japanese music is still being passed on to the present day. Come and experience the sounds of koto and shamisen and enjoy the taste of the four seasons here in New York. This concert series features each season’s representative traditional works along with the colorful and delicate Japanese style confectionaries. \nThis will be the fourth and final concert of Volume 3 of this seasonal series of music concerts called Four Seasons in New York — Gems of Japanese Music. \n\nEach season is expressed through ingredients. Spring traditionally begins with sakura (cherry blossoms)\, broccoli rabe\, strawberries and raspberries\, followed by elderflower\, rose\, edamame and sansho (Japanese pepper) in summer. As autumn approaches we’ll pick chrysanthemum\, apples\, grapes\, chestnuts and hazelnuts; and yuzu and kumquats in winter…. Even within one season\, the taste and the form change gradually from hashiri through nagori. \nMochi Rin / Bite-sized mochi dessert made with organic bean paste\, seasonally fruits and flowers in NY. \nWe present a new type of mochi that doesn’t quite exist in Japan\, by infusing New York’s locally-sourced ingredients into Japan’s popular traditional dessert —the stuffed mochi rounds\, such as daifuku and sakura-mochi — and mixing in rin\, the element of restrained grace.  http://www.rin-nyc.com \n  \n  \nMore about Yoko Reikano Kimura \nAs a frequent soloist and collaborator\, Japanese born Koto/Shamisen performer and singer Yoko Reikano Kimura has performed in NYC\, Chicago\, Tokyo\, Kyoto and many other cities\, featuring a wide-ranging repertoire from classical Japanese music to improvisational pieces. SUMMARY:CRS Healing Circle: Prayer\, Sound Meditation + Whirling
DESCRIPTION:CRS invites you to join us for our monthly healing circle led by Sufi Dance Instructor Lale Sayoko and CRS co-founders Yasuko Kasaki & Christopher Pelham with crystal singing bowl meditation by Miyoko Satoh. We gather to let go of our small selves and remember our divinity within. Through meditation\, prayer\, partnering work\, drumming\, singing\, and the whirling dance of the sufis\, we join together in unity and experience our limitlessness. NOTE:  This month Lale Sayoko will be away. She will return in Sept. \nOur circles are held on the third Thursday of the month at CRS. Introductory drop-in classes in the technique and theory of Sufi Dance (whirling) are taught by Lale  Sayoko on the first Thursday of each month at CRS from 7:30 – 9 pm. \nWe also support the family of Sayoko’s five-year-old daughter\, Amara\, who is growing up with a brain tumor and all the challenges that presents. Each Thursday 9pm we join minds with Amara’s prayer circle of hundreds of people around the world. \nPlease feel free to bring your frame drum\, rattle\, flute\, whistle\, chimes\, singing bowl\, or other instrument. You don’t need to be experienced. Together\, we will learn to listen to one another\, play together\, and express ourselves and find Oneness of intention. \nThe participation fee is $20 with advanced registration and $25 on the day of the class. \nThrough whirling\, we learn to trust ourselves to go off balance\, to be dizzy\, to surrender control as we give ourselves over to prayer and connect with a greater power\, the still center within\, around which we turn\, that we may share our divine strength and bear witness to the divinity in others. \nIf you are quiet and in a state of prayer when you Turn\, offering everything of yourself to God\, then when your body is spinning\, there is a completely still point in the center… The heavens respond; and all the invisible kingdoms join in the dance. But the world does not understand. They think we Turn in order to go into some sort of trance. It is true that sometimes we do go into that state you call ecstasy\, but that is only when we know and experience at the same time. We do not Turn for ourselves. We turn around in the way we do so that the Light of God may descend upon the earth. As you act as a conduit in the Turn\, the light comes through the right hand\, and the left hand brings it into this world… We turn for God and for the world\, and it is the most beautiful thing you can imagine. — Mevlevi Shaikh Suleyman Hyatt Dede \nAbout Sufi Dance Instructor Lale Sayoko \nLale was one of the founding members of Japan’s famous Samanyolu professional bellydance group\, and has since developed her own solo career touring with UK’s Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers on a 44 city tour of the UK\, to Turkey’s Baba Zula\, to New York’s Bella Gaia multimedia Earth from Space journey show. Appearing in Japanese and American magazines and newspapers\, Lale aspires for dance to be a powerful communicator though traditional technique and spiritual embodiment. She has lately been studying Sufi dance with Rana Gorgani and in April 2018 Gorgani awarded her the International Sufi Dance Certification Of Cid UNESCO\, granting her authority to teach Gorgani’s method of Sufi dance training.\nhttp://www.lalesayoko.com

SUMMARY:Music Concert: Rio x Rio Special Live in NY
DESCRIPTION:CRS presents Rio x Rio Special Live in NY\, a showcase of dazzling rock-style sanshin playing by Rio Inyaku (kankara-sanshin and vocal) and melodic ballads by Rio’ (piano and vocals)\, two exceptional young musicians from Japan\, on August 23\, 2018 at 8 pm. The teen phenoms will each play a solo set and also perform together. After the concert we invite you to stay and enjoy refreshments with Rio x Rio. \nThere is a suggested donation of $20 cash. Please RSVP here. Families and kids are welcome! \n7:40 pm Doors open\n8:00 pm Concert begins\n9:30 – 10 pm Reception *ready to serve food and drink donations are also welcome! \nAbout the Performers \nRio Inyaku is a 16-year-old can-based sanshin (kankara-sanshin) player. He plays kankara-sanshin extremely fast and also behind his neck just like Jimi Hendrix. He uses effects pedals and a loop station connector with kankara-sanshin\, which makes his music unique. He has performed live in many cities\, including on big stages such as “World Eisa Contest 2017” held at the National Theater Okinawa\, and “Sanshin-day\,” one of the biggest folk song festivals in Japan. \nRio’s set of Okinawan folk songs\, fusion of Okinawan and American pop\, and remix of Ryukyo classical and folk music and his amazing performance with two sanshins will surely bring you the joy of living from the South Island! \nhttp://riomusic.rederio.jp\nhttps://www.facebook.com/OkinawaRio\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EV5c198GqU \nThe Kankara-sanshin I play with is originally a handmade can-based music instrument that comforted Okinawan people in the aftermath of the 2nd World War. Okinawa\, which is located in southern-most Japan\, consists of many beautiful islands with rich culture and friendly people. In 1945 the battle of Okinawa was fierce and many people died\, but the survivors never lost their love of life\, nor their love of music\, and they restored the community. My dream is to create new Okinawan songs and sing with friends all over the world to make the Earth a happier place to live. Let’s enjoy music and celebrate the joy of living altogether!  — Rio Inyaku \nRio’ is a14-year-old singer-songwriter and pianist. She has been learning the basics of music and piano since she was three years old\, and since she was six years old also music theory and composition. She has won a series of authoritative piano performance competitions and composition competitions every year\, and her outstanding career has attracted many music stake holders. She started writing songs with lyrics and playing the guitar in 2017 and her YouTube channel “Ririon” already developed a good reputation. In December 2017\, she recorded her original song “Daijoubu” (which means “You are OK” in English) with a band arrangement. It was distributed worldwide by iTunes\, Amazon Music etc. in February 2018. Drumming\, recording\, mixing and mastering are by Masatatsu Tsubuki\, a renowned recording engineer in Japan. She makes her inspiration from heaven into her lyrics and sings for the world with love and warmth. \nHer original music is distributed at https://www.tunecore.co.jp/artist/Rio_ririon\nFacebook https://www.facebook.com/Rio.ririon7/\nDigest videos https://youtu.be/LVZY-sYoTAY\nYouTube “Ririon” https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuapS8rqLY4p8AtE52sI_fg \nI have composed many piano songs since I was little. One day when I was 13 years old\, I suddenly had an inspiration of lyrics and melodies; they naturally became a song. Since then\, when I am relaxed\, lyrics and melodies come to me at the same time\, which makes me feel like they are coming down from heaven. In April I stayed at the home of an American family in the Los Angeles suburbs\, and I realized we can communicate by music without words. I would like to make many people happy and cheerful with my music. At this concert I will sing my original songs and play my original piano instrumental composition. I am looking forward to seeing you all!      — Rio’ \n  \n

SUMMARY:Intro to Ortho-Bionomy®
DESCRIPTION:“An Ortho-Bionomist In Every Single Family” \nO-B Introduction\, Demonstration and feeling a Release\nBy Teruko Tooley \nInvitation to everyone who is interested in easing body functions and movements \n\n\n\n\nHi\, everybody. \nI am Teruko. I am an Associate Instructor and Advanced practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy®. I have been witnessing magical transformations of the human body with this bodywork. \nOrtho-Bionomy® is a gentle approach to our bodies. It helps to Release tensions and pain. It also helps the re-education of proper posture\, and it improves the balance between stability and mobility in our bodies. There are many O-B self care exercises which helps to process and restore better alignment of the body after a session. \nWhether unconscious or conscious\, postural imbalance may possibly cause some irritations\, pain and discomforts. Actually\, our bodies tend to hold the postural patterns within the nervous system. If a body has experience of continuous repetitive movements and/or positions with relationship to work\, an activity\, injuries or any impacts to a body\, like accidents or emotional incidents in our lives. Eventually\, the postural patterns will start normalizing\, and they will become and stay normal in the systems of the body. So sometimes people can not find any reasons why they are feeling discomfort or pain in the body after a while.\nOrtho-Bionomy approach will give some opportunities to heal and ease our body withRecognitions and Reeducation. In process and changing the structural and postural alignments\, the body will unite some other aspects within the body\, like emotions and more. \nI would like to offer some experience to everyone including receiving and giving some techniques to find what you feel. Because\, the founder of Ortho-Bionomy®\, Arthur Lincoln Pauls\, simplified this work for everyone to take care of ourselves. His dream was “An Ortho-Bionomist in every single family.” \nLet’s see what arises during this workshop. If you are interested in this workshop\, please contact me as soon as you can. Seats in the class are limited. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo Register or Any Questions: Please contact to Teruko Tooley Phone: (646) 460-0688 or terukont@hotmail.co.jp \nPlease feel free to contact me via text or Phone call. Please leave a voice mail if I can not take your phone call.

SUMMARY:Exhibition: Small Voyage by Ayane Kurai
DESCRIPTION:CRS presents Small Voyage\, an exhibition of oil paintings by Ayane Kurai. The exhibition will open Thursday\, September 6\, 2018 and will remain on view through October 20\, 2018. An Opening Reception with the artist will be held on Thursday\, September 13\, 2018 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Pictured above:  Women March 2018 copyright © 2018 by Ayane Kurai. \nThough the works in this exhibition are large for CRS\, they are nevertheless among the smallest works created by Kurai. Thickly layered and heavily textured\, these expressionistic oil paintings vary in subject matter and degree of abstraction. What holds constant and what distinguishes Kurai’s works is their intensity of color and texture and the immediacy of their evocation of the colors and textures of a life fully experienced. \nThis is the second solo show by Kurai at CRS. The first\, “Yuko’s Spring Has Come” in 2010\, mostly featured works created around the time of the birth and early childhood of her two children\, and celebrated the life of her friend the artist Yuko Sueta\, who had recently passed away. As Kurai’s children have gotten older\, she has become increasingly active again and has been steadily exhibiting new works in many shows. \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nAyane Kurai was born in 1969 in Hyogo\, Japan. In 1988 she entered the department of paintings\, College of Art and Design\, Musashino Art University in Tokyo. She has been living and working in New York City since 1990. SUMMARY:Creating Inner & Outer Peace with A Course in Miracles: Yasuko Kasaki & Efrat Sar-Shalom of Israel
DESCRIPTION:With great joy\, CRS welcomes Israel-based ACIM teacher and healer Efrat Sar-Shalom to our English-language ACIM class this week. Efrat is a well-known spiritual leader in Israel whom we met at the Enlight Festival of A Course in Miracles in Ibiza last fall and with whom Yasuko presented at the Course in Miracles Festival in Bad Meinberg\, Germany earlier this year. Together\, we look forward to deepening our practice of being present and connected with you. \nEfrat has dedicated her life to Peace since she was nine years old\, and is devoted to serving God and Humanity. Together with Avi Yasur and Ruth Shek Yasur\, she took part in translating ACIM into Hebrew\, a work that took 12 years. \nEfrat has been teaching A Course in Miracles for over 30 years\, connecting students from all over the world for a deeper understanding of the Self. \nListening to the Call of the Holy Spirit\, she brings ACIM students and teachers from all over the world together\, teaching the essence of the Self. Commitment is her teaching\, as she remembers her commitment coming from the stars. \nEfrat Sar-Shalom guides and instructs teachers in her methods in order to spread more profound knowledge connecting Ancient Wisdom\, which came from the prophets of the Desert Land. Ceremonies\, prayers and ancient heritage that come from higher vision are her inspiration. \nEfrat appears in radio shows with ACIM and in global conferences. She has visited and brought her teaching to the U.S.A.\, Germany\, Italy\, Spain\, Israel and more. Efrat has published a book: “She is my Sister – Hagar’s Song” in Hebrew\, the story of Abraham’s family of Canaan. SUMMARY:Crossing Boundaries Concert Series: Yut Nori /  나비 Butterfly II Conceptual Transformation Improvisation (2018.9.14)
DESCRIPTION:CRS presents Yut Nori /  나비 Butterfly II Conceptual Transformation Improvisation (2018.9.14)\, an intimate evening of music intimately intertwined with conceptual visual art created by composer/pianist Hyo Jee Kang\, musician gamin\, and dance artists binbinFactory (Satoshi Haga & Rie Fukuzawa). The performance will take place at CRS on Friday\, September 14\, 2018 at 8 pm. This program is Vol. 2 of the Crossing Boundaries — Echoes of Korea — Concert Series curated by gamin. \nTickets are $20 in advance\, $25 on the day of the performance\, and $15 at the door for students and seniors with ID. Kids accompanied by an adult are FREE at the door! Tickets are available online\, by phone (212-677-8621) and at CRS. \nThe first work on the program\, Yut Nori\, is an experiment to create a music and dance performance by playing with the traditional Korean board game Yut Nori (윷놀이). The Yut game board depicts icons representing four gods\, 36 constellations and five animals encircling a star that represents the eternal. The audience will play the game\, and their movement around the board will bring us into contact with the choices\, chance encounters\, friendships and challenges we meet throughout life — which the performers will then translates into music and dance! \nComposition by Hyo Jee Kang\nCo-work and movement by binbinFactory\nOriginal composition by Hyo jee Kang and So-Ui Lee\nThe painting inspired by the Yut Nori game board\, printed on canvas\, is by Hyojee Kang and Wha Lee\nMusic by Hyo Jee Kang and gamin \n \nThe second work on the program\, 나비 Butterfly II Conceptual Transformation Improvisation (2018.9.14)\, is about the soul of being hurt and lost. The image of the butterfly connects the poem “Mirror” by the avant-garde Korean poet Yi Sang (September 14\, 1910 – April 17\, 1937) with one of the victims who drowned in the sinking of the South Korean vessel Sewol that took the lives of more than 200 high school students on April 16\, 2014. The work also “mirrors” and reflects the history of Jeju Island and the artist’s personal memories. This is the fifth such transformation of this poem into music by Hyo Jee Kang and is part of her conceptual transformation series\, in which she explores transformations from and to texts\, notes\, scores\, images\, paintings\, feelings\, stage arts\, lights and voices. \nCROSSING BOUNDARIES — ECHOES OF KOREA\, curated by gamin (piri\, taepyeonso\, saenghwang)\, provides musicians from Korea with space to experiment with the new\, to collaborate across genres\, cultures and disciplines\, and to explore new ways of using creative communication to facilitate a shared practice of presence. The goal is to dissolve boundaries between performers and audiences\, the traditional and contemporary\, classical and experimental\, Korea and the world. Participants in the series are encouraged to incorporate meditation\, improvisation\, and collaborations with visual and movement-based artists as well as musical artists from different traditions. \nVol. 3 of the CROSSING BOUNDARIES — ECHOES OF KOREA series will be: \nFriday\, November 9\, 2018 at 8 pm\n7 words chanting_Yeongsanheosang:  Korean traditional music concert\npiri\, saenghwang by gamin\nhaegeum by Minkyung Park \nAbout the Artists \nHyo Jee Kang has been focusing on transformation between media and objects to create a new art form. SUMMARY:You Are Already That Which You Seek - a talk by ACIM Lecturer Paul Hedderman
DESCRIPTION:In lieu of our usual ACIM/ACOL class this Wednesday\, 9/19\, CRS invites you to a talk by ACIM teacher and AA guru Paul Hedderman. Paul has been involved with the recovery community since 1988 and has been leading workshops and holding talks for 18 years. He is the author of The Escape To Everywhere. A Zen slap to your mind\, Paul’s unique language and solid presence bespeak the depth of his understanding of the human condition—in which the original addiction is the mind’s addiction to being a self. His message\, that inspires many\, is simple and clear: \nYOU ARE ALREADY THAT WHICH YOU SEEK. \nYou are wholeness itself. The ‘self’ is a ‘parasite’ that claims to be you and once the ‘foreign installment’ is believed\, comes the seeking to get rid of it. \nhttp://www.zenbitchslap.com \nsuggested donation $20 cash at the door (no one turned away)..
