SUMMARY:Yamuna Anatomy U — The Back
DESCRIPTION:I created Anatomy U because I believe the best way to learn about how the muscles and other soft tissue move the body is through experiencing this first hand in your own laboratory\, YOUR BODY.  Learning about muscles from a book\, or dissection does not give you the sensations live muscles CAN when they are palpated and worked from their origins to insertions\, in their natural order. \nAnatomy U makes your body your self study. You learn to feel how your muscles communicate with you and give you valuable information to be able to problem solve while feeling the interconnectedness of muscles in an area and actually far from the muscle being worked. As your body is feeling the sensation of the muscle you are working\, your mind is processing the information being received. This allows you to develop your problem solving skills in your own body and then be able to translate this if you work with other people professionally. \nAnatomy U is divided into modules and each module contains all the muscles of a specific area of the body. Let’s say you wanted to explore the muscles of your posterior leg. You would click on this segment and begin to work each muscle one at a time. After working each muscle it is suggested to observe\, feel\, and move the  part of the body the muscle is in to see what changes you feel from working the muscle. It is suggested to lie down after working a muscle to feel it and its effect on the whole body first. Then stand to feel the effects from an upright position. Next\, you choose another muscle in this module and watch how you build this body part to stand taller\, freer and with greater range of motion. \nWhat better way is there to get your body into its best working potential than to do it yourself and learn your anatomy as you go? \nPROFESSIONAL ANATOMY U TRAINING PROGRAM\nAdding this anatomy training to your practice will bring you a great tool when working with your client and patients helping them to problem solve with a visual and practical format. This anatomy program helps you to teach them how to be proactive and be part of their own problem solving journey. You will be raising the quality of your practice. People want to see\, and understand and be proactive when there is a problem in their bodies. Being able to show a person the muscles in a body part and  how to work each one enabling the person to be part of his problem solving is huge. \nWhat the Anatomy Lab will provide you: \n\nYou will learn how to work each muscle in every module from origin to insertion and really learn how these muscles feel and function through experience not book or dissection classes.\nYou will learn how to begin the problem solving journey making the determination of how to choose the next muscle to work based on : knowledge of the injury\, if any\, range of motion restriction\, where and how within the joint\, present workout\, assessing form\, function\, and restriction within the exercises where restriction is felt.\nYou will learn how to demonstrate and explain to clients which muscles to begin working on and have the ability to send them the specific muscles to be worked.\nYou will learn how to use Anatomy Lab as part of your personal training sessions with clients to start a session and demonstrate improved function when muscles are identified and awakened prior to training.\nYou will learn how to teach a group fitness class using the Anatomy U modules to educate more people at once. It is easy to offer these classes as self help offerings.\nYou will be provided with a written manual for each segment of the training to use as your anatomy guide to problem solving for yourself and your clients.\n\nFORMAT OF  ANATOMY LAB TRAININGS: \n*Each Anatomy Lab is taught in 3 days. Each module is 18 hours of study \n*Each muscle is explored within the app\, each person has time to explore how to use the program to view the muscle from every angle to best help other understand the function and location of a muscle. \n\nThe hands-on practice of using a module will be done in group studies to make sure every student can easily work the Anatomy U program\nEach participant will learn how to experientially work each muscle within the module and record the messages they receive from each muscle as it is worked.\n\n*Problem solving for each muscle is studied. \n*Understanding of  the fitness choices of  each client/patient and how to determine which order of muscles to work based on the activities most practiced by the client the client. \n\nLearn how to use the Anatomy U program during rehab to more rapidly assist rehabilitation\nQ&A sessions during the study of each muscle.

SUMMARY:CRS Sound Healing Circle
DESCRIPTION:This month\, we will practice clearing one another’s energy with rattle and drum in preparation for journeying to meet our past and future selves. Then we’ll circle up to share and receive the messages together. If there’s anything you’d like to have in your life that you feel you are not receiving\, this is the time to GIVE it. By giving\, you will realize that it was yours to give all along. \nThe fee is $20 through April 20 and $25 on April 21. \nOur purpose\, guided by our devoted study and practice of A Course in Miracles\, is to remind one another that we are one and the same\, always already perfect expressions of love. Therefore\, we will be training ourselves to look for and find such reminders in all of our visions and experiences. While the forms of our activities draw on or are adapted from various shamanic and healing traditions\, we do not seek to hold up any particular forms as essential or superior in and of themselves. Any form or experience could be used to remember who we truly are and to join with others. We will be using these particular forms simply because we enjoy them! \nCRS Co-Founder Christopher Pelham will lead the circle this month. Chris has a background in ensemble and improvisational theatre and has been studying ACIM since 2003 and offering healing and spiritual counseling since 2013. He leads the Monday night guided meditation and Healing Clinic at CRS\, teaches A Course of Love on Wednesday nights\, participates in the Tuesday night Healing Clinics and assists Yasuko in the leading of the Monday night ACIM Classes.

SUMMARY:Four Seasons in NY: Gems of Japanese Music
DESCRIPTION:CRS & Mar Creation\, Inc. invite you to discover traditional Japanese music by the acclaimed koto and shamisen player Yoko Reikano Kimura\, offered together with an exclusive taste of beautiful Japanese seasonal sweets prepared by Rin NYC. The next concert will take place on Saturday\, April 22\, 2017 at 6 pm at CRS. Tickets are $25 and include delicious wagashi (sweets). Seating is limited and advanced purchased (online\, by phone 212-677-8621\, or in person at CRS) is encouraged. \n“…Yoko Reikano Kimura\, playing the shamisen and singing\, is superb….” — New York Times \n“…Kimura’s performance on the solo shamisen was quite stunning. An elegant refined presence perfectly poised\, she played with precision\, beauty and the utmost confidence….” — San Francisco Examiner \nThis will be the third in a seasonal series of music concerts called Four Seasons in New York — Gems of Japanese Music 2016 – 17. After many centuries\, the brilliance of traditional Japanese music is still being passed on to the present day. Come and experience the sounds of koto and shamisen and enjoy the taste of the four seasons here in New York. This concert series will feature each season’s representative traditional works along with the colorful and delicate Japanese style confectionaries. The final concert in the series will be held on August 5 at 4 pm. \n\nEach season is expressed through ingredients. Spring traditionally begins with sakura (cherry blossoms)\, broccoli rabe\, strawberries and raspberries\, followed by elderflower\, rose\, edamame and sansho (Japanese pepper) in summer. As autumn approaches we’ll pick chrysanthemum\, apples\, grapes\, chestnuts and hazelnuts; and yuzu and kumquats in winter…. Even within one season\, the taste and the form change gradually from hashiri through nagori. \nmochi Rin / Bite-sized mochi dessert made with organic bean paste\, seasonally fruits and flowers in NY. \nWe present a new type of mochi that doesn’t quite exist in Japan\, by infusing New York’s locally-sourced ingredients into Japan’s popular traditional dessert —the stuffed mochi rounds\, such as daifuku and sakura-mochi — and mixing in rin\, the element of restrained grace.  http://www.rin-nyc.com \n  \n  \nMore about Yoko \nAs a frequent soloist and collaborator\, Japanese born Koto/Shamisen performer and singer Yoko Reikano Kimura has performed in NYC\, Chicago\, Tokyo\, Kyoto and many other cities\, featuring a wide-ranging repertoire from classical Japanese music to improvisational pieces. Yoko has won numerous awards including the First Prize at the prestigious 10th Kenjun Memorial National Koto Competition as the first Yamada style koto performer. She received the First Prize at the 4th Great Wall International Music Competition and the Osaka Chinese Counsel Award and won the Japanese music audition for NHK-FM radio and her solo shamisen performance was broadcasted nationally. Since then she has performed numerous koto and shamisen pieces for the radio and regularly toured internationally. \nSince Yoko moved to the US in 2010\, her mission has been to promote Japanese music to American audiences. As part of this mission she is performing and giving workshops at various venues\, such as the UN\, Merkin\, Bargemusic\, Roulette\, Princeton University\, Japan Society\, Harvard University\, Princeton University\, the New England Conservatory\, the University of Chicago\, Duke University and many others. http://www.yamadaryu.com/reikano/ \nAs part of the award-winning Duo Yumeno\, she has just released the album Flowers\, Birds\, Wind\, Moon:  The Music of Marty Regan.
