SUMMARY:CRS Healing Circle:  Meditation + Whirling Prayer
DESCRIPTION:Join us Thursday\, May 16\, 2019 at 7:15 pm for our monthly Healing Circle + Whirling (Sufi Dance) Prayer led by CRS co-founders Yasuko Kasaki and Christopher Pelham and Sufi Dance Artist Lále Sayoko. We gather to let go of our small selves and remember our divinity within. \nBring in any issue — relationship trauma\, #metoo\, disease\, money issue\, depression — and surrender it to Spirit. Remember who you are. Receive new guidance. Experience love’s presence in a safe and supportive community. Heal yourself and others. We will enjoy herbal tea and a snack at the end — social time! \nPlease feel free to bring your frame drum\, rattle\, flute\, whistle\, chimes\, singing bowl\, or other instrument. You don’t need to be experienced. Together\, we will learn to listen to one another\, play together\, and express ourselves and find Oneness of intention. \nPlease do not eat for two hours before the start to reduce your chance of feeling sick during the whirling\, and wear only solid colors as patterns can distract the eyes of those who are whirling. \nThe participation fee is $20 with advanced registration and $25 at the door. Appearing in Japanese and American magazines and newspapers\, Lale aspires for dance to be a powerful communicator though traditional technique and spiritual embodiment. She has lately been studying Sufi dance with Rana Gorgani and in April 2018 Gorgani awarded her the International Sufi Dance Certification Of Cid UNESCO\, granting her authority to teach Gorgani’s method of Sufi dance training.\nhttp://www.lalesayoko.com \nYasuko Kasaki (meditation/prayer) is an internationally beloved spiritual writer\, counselor\, healer\, lecturer and translator from Tokyo\, Japan. SUMMARY:Consensuality Workshop: Experientials that Challenge and Expand Awareness
DESCRIPTION:Consensuality is an amalgamation of the words Consent and Sensuality. Consensuality emphasizes relationship enhancement and focuses on improving verbal and non-verbal skills for navigating the challenges and opportunities of sensual\, intimate and vulnerable interactions. In this full day workshop\, we will increase mindful awareness of our own needs and limits and the ability to effectively express them\, while simultaneously increasing our awareness of the needs and limits of others. We challenge you to examine the many intimate and powerful nuances of advanced consent through a unique blend of experiential exercises. Join Mark Sisti\, PhD and Sarah Levinson\, Esq. of Creative Relating\, and sex therapist Rachel Klechevsky\, LMSW in manifesting cutting-edge consent dialogue into powerful interpersonal connections. Let’s use consent to enhance sensuality. \nA sampling of workshop topics: \n\nExplore nuances of advanced consent (non-verbal consent\, consent over time\, revoking consent)\nImprove your awareness of moments of choice\, agency and responsibility\nEnhance your ability to be emotionally courageous and vulnerable\nExplore aftercare: social ruptures\, transgressions and compassionate repair\nApply consent skills while enhancing intimacy without a chilling effect\nUtilize consent with greater awareness of privilege\, equity and inclusivity\n\nParticipants & Content: \nThis workshop is appropriate for individuals\, couples and moresomes. It is intended for those who are open to exploring the edges of their comfort zones. To maximize deeper experiential learning\, there will be exercises where participants may choose limited nonsexual contact. There will be alternative exercises available. The event will include use of sexual language. The event is clothed. Workshop begins at 10:00 AM\, with a one hour lunch break from 1-2pm (participants are welcome to bring lunch and eat in the workshop space)\, and ends at 5 PM. \nSafe Space: \nThe workshop will take place at the “Center for Remembering and Sharing”\, a safe\, quiet\, community space for contemplation and sharing. SUMMARY:Voice Liberation Workshop with Neda Boin
DESCRIPTION:Use your voice to liberate your soul!\nCRS welcomes back Netherlands-based singer-songwriter\, spiritual guide and Voice Liberation facilitator Neda Boin for a Voice Liberation workshop. \nVoice liberation is a unique way where the voice is used to facilitate deep spiritual healing. Weather you belief you’re a great singer or not\, using your voice has the powerful ability to instantly bring up the root of our seeming problems\, which are the false thoughts we believe about ourselves; ‘I’m not good enough’\, ‘I don’t deserve love’\, ‘I’m on my own’\, ‘nobody truly cares about me’\, etc. Neda intuitively guides us to allow these beliefs to come up to the surface\, so that they can be seen and heard and so that we can unwind ourselves from these false beliefs and re-discover who we really are. \nThe workshop will take place on Saturday\, May 18\, 2019 from 1 – 5:30 pm in the award-winning White Room at CRS (named by Homes to Love as one of nine yoga studios around the world “that achieve design nirvana”) and costs $100 with advance registration and $120 at the door. \nNeda’s first album\, “The Light Has Come\,” inspired by the A Course in Miracles (ACIM) Workbook lessons\, was named Best Album of the Year at the Rotterdam Music Awards. Shortly after\, she graduated from the music conservatory of Rotterdam with a Bachelor of Music. She successfully released her first EP\, “When Lambs Become Lions\,” in October 2014. She also started giving songwriting workshops in juvenile prison\, which she is currently still doing. In 2015 Neda convinced all four coaches of “The Voice” of Holland to turn their chairs around for her\, and she made it all the way to the last eight contestants. A student of A Course in Miracles for 8+ years\, she channeled her latest album\, “The Light Has Come” over a period of two weeks in 2018. But when in 2012  I started my second year in the conservatory of music in Rotterdam\, it felt as though that deep liberating feeling I used to feel when singing as a kid\, was blocked. I was focused on singing perfectly\, on doing it ‘right’. It felt very confusing for me to not have singing feel connected to pure joy anymore and I even thought about dropping out of the conservatory. I wanted to sing freely again\, from love\, from a place of peace where I could just be sung through\, instead of trying so hard. I wanted to find and give expression to my inner voice! \nAs out of heaven\, the ‘Voice liberation academy’ by Jan Kortie\, ‘Ode an die freude’ (named after Bethoven’s 9th symphony\, meaning ‘Ode to joy!) came on my path and I finished my two remaining years of conservatory at the same time as the voice liberation academy. Voice liberation gave me back my joy and effortlessness in singing. It brought me back in touch with my true Inner Voice and helped me open up to sing from a very vulnerable and honest place. \nI never went into the voice liberation academy with the thought I’d be leading voice liberation sessions and retreats myself. I went in to free my own voice\, and to be free while performing! Yet\, Spirit clearly had more in store! In the spring of 2017\, I all of the sudden felt strongly prompted to let David Hoffmeister know that I felt I was supposed to give voice liberation sessions at his one month Tabula Rasa retreat. He was all in for it and I was amazed to feel how easily Spirit was working through me\, using the tools of voice liberation to facilitate deep healing. \nSince then\, I’ve been asked for many more retreats and group sessions all over the world. \n\n\nABOUT CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing)\n\nCRS is a healing and art center founded in 2004 by the Japanese spiritual writer/counselor/lecturer Yasuko Kasaki and her students.
