About the film A Drop in the Galaxy

This film was created by Ms. Katsuko Yamamoto, a writer and renowned special ed teacher. You may know her if you’ve seen the film “The Miracle of the Gifted Quarter,” which CRS has shown numerous times. Ms. Yamamoto visited Nepal a couple of times. It became a place she could never forget and she developed a passion to make a documentary film about Nepal. This is her first film and it is filled with love.

In Nepal, it is said that 100% of the people knew we were all from One in ancient times and that 80% of the people still remember it.
The Gita says, You are wonderful and I am, too. Why are you fighting? Just accept each other. Accept everyone for we are all from One. Because we are all the same. People fight for different religions, ways of thinking, points of view and ways of living. We work hard and have many thoughts on how to reach the truth. If we know how to live with harmony, we will be led to the same destination. We don’t need to fight. And then we can respect each other.

There was a big earthquake in Nepal and people are still suffering. However, they were so kind to me who is a stranger from some other place. I learned what people in Nepal taught me. I sincerely hope to be happy with everyone together. — Katsuko Yamamoto (Director)
