This workshop is for the woman who refuses to brave these socially, racially, politically, and economically trying times alone. It is for the woman who desires an overhaul and transformation of her relationship to wellbeing, as it relates to the myriad of stressors that overcome us, as both individuals and within the context of being in community. These workshops will explore a definition of self-care that does not require putting off your wellbeing until a holiday break, nor does it require a membership at an expensive yoga studio. Together we will begin an inquiry into perceiving ourselves and our communities as resources to tap for resilience and wellbeing moment by moment and day by day. You will gain lasting practical tools to make self-care an integrated and powerful support for your life. Through yoga, mindfulness, journaling, creative play, partner work, and group discussion, the creation of a powerful and delightful sister circle, and occasional guest facilitators, you will unearth answers to these questions and more:
What we think and feel on the inside has an enormous impact on how we act in our relationships and in the world, and these thoughts and words frame our entire experience of living and being. This workshop will use yoga and mindfulness as tools to explore the narratives that run our lives. Are the stories you tell yourself the kind that build you up, or stories that break you down? Through asana, breath and attention to sensation and emotion, we will begin to source where these habitual patterns of our mind come from, especially when things get challenging. You’ll explore how to chuck narratives that don’t serve you, and create new narratives that empower, inspire and reflect who you say you are and who you are meant to be.
