CRS sponsored artist Lake Simons was awarded a $5,000 project grant from the Henson Foundation for staging of her new work Wind Set-Up. Lake is currently working on Broadway as part of the puppetry team for War Horse.

Wind Set-Up
In this surreal view of the everyday, seasonal winds carry more than the morning paper. Wind Set-Up, a composition for materials and elements is a movement theatre piece utilizing object puppetry directed and designed by Lake Simons with live music composed by John Dyer.
Wind Set-up was first presented at St. Marks Church in 2009, awarded a Seed Grant from the Jim Henson Foundation and developed at One Arm Red in Brooklyn, and workshopped in Fort Worth,TX at the Hip Pocket Theatre in July 2011. Lake is now planning for a 2012 premier in NYC.
