Following President Obama’s historic visit to Hiroshima, Japan, an exhibition from the Hiroshima Memorial Peace Museum will travel to NYC to continue the conversation about nuclear weapons and to raise true peace consciousness for the coming generations.
El Cantare Foundation and Kids for the Future/The Liberty will bring this exhibition and educational program to CRS in New York to provide opportunities for visitors to learn about the disastrous effects the atomic bomb has had upon humanity as a whole. They have created this exhibition in hopes of awakening our community to a greater love, which in turn inspires us to forgive our past and unite all people on this earth.
This is a must see exhibit. It will help you understand the scope of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Atomic Bombs and the efforts being made to help mend the fences created by the destruction. Elements of the exhibition include:
• photographs and educational documents from the Hiroshima Peace Museum about Hiroshima Past, Present and Future as well as the story of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes
• screenings of the 10 Feet Documentary Films “The Prophecy” 6/2 @ 7:30pm and 6/3 @ 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm
• Q&A with Todd Yamamoto, Chairman of Kids for the Future, and Nicole Sakurai, Chairperson of El Cantare Foundation, and others 6/2 and 6/3 @ 7 – 9:30 pm
