Fred Hatt participates in a wide range of arts:  photography, video, dance and performance art, body-painting and writing. However, he defines drawing as his foundation and has maintained a regular and disciplined drawing practice for many years.

He considers the act of drawing, like dancing or making music, to be a highly focused form ofmovement in time and tries to go beyond perceiving the body as an object in order to capture something of the elusive life force. For him, drawing is not just about seeing, but also very much about feeling, tactility, empathy and intuition.

In the works shown in this exhibition, he beautifully captures the energy arising from the interaction between himself and his models, the ACIM (A Course in Miracles) spiritual energy healers at CRS.

Fred Hatt publishes a blog called Drawing Life where much more of his work and his writing about it can be found.
