Kotomi Hada was born in Gifu, Japan and moved to New York in 1996. From 1997 – 1998 she studied oil painting at the Art Student League of New York and in 1998 entered The National Academy of Art, where she studied oil painting for three years on scholarship.
“Colors of objects – they are what I want to express the most,” says Ms. Hada. She typically picks her subjects based on how the colors speak to her. Ms. Hada’s work has been shown at Gallery 128 in Manhattan.
